Elderly People Projects

About This Project

These projects were aimed to provide free community-based Information, support activity, advice and healthy lifestyle activities to help older people remain healthy, active and well in their community. They were able to articulate and share their feelings with each other’s. These projects focused on broadening older people’s minds using active lifestyle; they were mentored and encouraged to participate in healthy lifestyle activities.

There was a 12-week program. Each session consisted of two hours throughout the program. We have reached out and engaged 250 older people aged over 50 years old from Spark brook and Spark-hill wards of Birmingham and delivered programs. These programs aimed to improve the quality of life by developing the confidence and motivation of people suffering from long-term condition to help them use their own skills and knowledge to take effective control over their lives.
