Social Unity Foundation of Innovation (SUFI) Trust, with the support of the National Lottery (Awards for All England), has funded the project KHUSHHAAL (HAPPY – WELL BEING) to encourage 150 elderly people and families to be physically active, well, and safe. Activities will be focused on maximising the disadvantaged individual’s potential around confidence building to encourage them to come out of their shell. It will take a significant change to renew their interest in people and activities and build strong relationships.
The SUFI project team has organised a day-long event, THE QUEEN’S PLATINIUM JUBILEE and UK-PAKISTAN 75-YEAR RELATIONSHIP CELEBRATIONS
We greatly welcome all community members to attend CELEBRATING THE QUEEN’S PLATINIUM JUBILEE & UK-PAKISTAN 75-YEAR RELATIONSHIP on Wednesday, 17th August 2022, at the Blackwell Adventure Blackwell Court, Agmore Road Blackwell Bromsgrove B60 1PX.
Celebrating HM Queen Elizabeth and her 70 years on the throne and sharing common values of our faiths and cultures to celebrate the cultural identities which have helped to develop better relationships amongst many communities and their neighbourhoods over the past 75 years. Throughout these years, diverse and multicultural communities have inspired hope, cooperation and unity among the peoples of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, particularly the Pakistani Community.
The day will start with the opening ceremony at 11.00 am, followed by many existing activities, for example, working with Royal Armed Forces, Sports competitions, food, mendhi, crafts and artefacts stalls. Keynote Speakers will be the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Mayors of Dudley, Sandwell, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Poetry Recitation, folk dances, Cultural programme, Awards Ceremony to recognise community members who have worked hard to bring the communities together and Asian Food Cuisine.
